Kim Kardashian Reveals a Large Bald Patch As She Arrives In Paris For Fashion Week

She is rarely seen without a perfectly manicured fingernail, flawlessly made-up face or a hair out of place.
But Kim Kardashian shocked onlookers at Charles De Gaulle airport this morning when she arrived for Paris Fashion Week sporting a large bald spot.
The perennially groomed 31-year-old reality star was seen with a thinning patch at the side of her head.

Kim, who is known for shelling out thousands for her long brown hair extensions, appears to be paying a high price for her hair styling regime.

 

Naomi Campbell, Alexandra Burke and Tamara Beckwith have all suffered from hair loss as a result of over-tight extensions and weaves - and just general hair abuse.

Trichologists say that quite often with celebrity hair thinning or loss nowadays, hair extensions are to blame.

The traction caused by wearing the hair pieces over long periods of time weakens the hair  - which then isn't helped by chemical and heat treatments like dyes and straighteners.
Today Kim also appeared to be suffering from a bit of bed head as she waited for her luggage at the carousel, with tufts of her hair sticking up at the top of her mane.
Her make-up was slightly duller than normal and she was spotted itching her nose.

Kim did however look casual and cool in her arrival outfit.
The single star slipped her voluptuous figure into a pair of washout black denim jeans, a knitted  sweater and a leather biker jacket.
Rather than opting to arrive in comfort, she once again tottered around in a pair of sky-high stilettos as she made her way through the terminal.

Before arriving at her hotel the TV star, who is said to be worth a whopping $35m, couldn't resist making a pit stop by Hermes to do some shopping.
Kim is a huge fan of the French label with a penchant for their luxurious leather goods.
It is unknown how many of the shows Kim will be attending during the last few days of Paris Fashion Week.

Some of the most coveted catwalks are taking place tonight and tomorrow, and they include Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and Louis Vuitton.
Rapper Kanye West also held his Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2012 show this evening, which Kim attended.
Before the event, Kim tweeted a picture of herself wearing a pair of Kanye West for Guiseppe Zanotti heels, which are made of calf leather and embroidered pearls and cost around $6,000.
'I j'adore my shoes tonight!' she wrote on the social networking site.
She arrived at the show wearing the shoes with an outfit consisting of a pair of beige trousers, a white top and a fur shawl.
Before her arrival in the French capital, Kim also tweeted her excitement over her Parisian trip.
'Off to Paris... #FashionWeek,' she wrote. 'So excited to see my friends in Paris! Hiiiii @nico4music & Michael! Xoxo'

Meanwhile it has emerged that Kim has been busy making sure her wedding guests know that their gifts were not sent in vain.
The reality star sent a letter to everyone who attended her wedding to Kris Humphries, informing them that she had calculated the amount the presents were worth and then made a donation to a good cause.
A note that was sent by Kim to her guests said: ‘I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift.
